The Watkins Clippers traveled to the Cold Spring Rockies on Sunday afternoon, May 21. Their hosts scored early and often, handing them a 5-2 defeat.

Cole Fuchs hit a triple for 1 RBI to lead the Rockies at bat. David Jonas hit a double for 1 RBI. Austin Dufner hit a pair of singles and 1 RBI; Tyler Geislinger also hit a pair of singles. Rounding out the Rockies hits were singles by -Jordan Neu and Evan Acheson.

Fuchs earned the win for the Rockies, allowing 2 runs on 4 hits during his 8 innings on the mound; he struck out 5. Trevor Lardy pitched the final inning in relief. 

Carter Block is tagged with the loss. He allowed 2 runs on 3 hits during his 2 2/3 innings; he struck out 2. Dustin Kramer pitched 5 1/3 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits while striking out 2 and walking 2.

Brendan Ashton led the Clippers at bat, hitting a triple in the sixth inning for 2 RBI (Linc -Haugen and Kevin Kramer). -Haugen, Kevin Kramer, and Myles Dziengel each hit singles on the game. The Clippers scored too little and too late to catch up with the Rockies.

The Clippers will host the Kimball Express at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 28. They travel to Eden Valley Hawks to play at 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 2.
