WATKINS — The Watkins Clippers defeated the Cold Spring Rockies 9-5 in a region 11C seeding game on Friday night.
The Clippers were led by Kevin Kramer, who went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a stolen base.
Lincoln Haugen had an RBI and finished 2-for-4 for Watkins.
Heath Kramer had a two-run double in the eighth inning to extend Watkins’ lead to 9-5.
Matt Geislinger pitched a complete game and struck out 10 batters to earn the win.
Cold Spring was led by Jake Hennen, who had a three-run triple for the Rockies in their five-run eighth inning.
Watkins advances to the region championship at noon on Sunday with the opponent to be determined.
Cold Spring plays at 6:30 p.m. Saturday against a team to be determined with the winner advancing to the championship game against Watkins.
