KIMBALL – Matt Dingmann went six innings to get the pitching win and also chipped in with two hits to lead Kimball to the Central Valley League South Division playoff win.

Kimball advances to the Region 11C tournament as the No. 1 seed from the Central Valley South. Cold Spring is the No. 2 seed. Region 11C begins play Saturday in Bird Island.

Against Cold Spring, Jordan Joseph went 3-for-5 and Adam Theis, Brooks Marquardt, Brian Marquardt and Kyle Winter all contributed two hits apiece to the Express’ 16-hit attack.

David Jonas slugged a solo homer in the sixth for the Rockies and John Rossman was 2-for-4.
