LUXEMBURG — Chase Aleshire was 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and a two-run double to lead the Brewers past the Rockies.

Cory Wenz and Rhett Fruth each had two hits for Luxemburg (2-0).

Josh Fish got the win in relief.

Jake Hennen had a home run for Cold Spring (0-1).

The Brewers went 2-0 in the CVL for the weekend, they defeated the Rockies 6-5 behind the committee of pitchers. Mitch Ergen was the starter for the Brewers, he went 3 2/3 innings, gave up 1 hit, 4 walks, 4 runs and he record 3 strikeouts. John Fish earned the win with 3 1/3 innings of relief, he gave up 2 hits, 2 walks, 1 run and he recorded a strikeout. Brice Adelmeyer threw 2 innings of relief to earn the save, he walked 2 and he had a strikeout. Chase Aleshire had a great game, as he went 2-4 with a double and 3 run homer for 5 big RBI's. Cory Wenz had a good game going 2-4 and Rhett Frutt went 2-4 and he scored a run. Sam Iten went 1-5 and he scored a run and Ethyn Fruth went 1-3, he walked and he scored a run. Austin Klaverkamp went 1-2 and Luke Harren walked and he scored 2 runs.

The Rockies were led by their veteran David Jonas, he went 2-4, scored 2 runs and he walked. Ryan Hennen went 1-4 with a home run and he walked and Dylan Tebrake went 1-4, scored a run and he walked. Jordan Neu went 1-3, he had 2 walks and he scored 2 runs and Kevin Wenner went 1-4 with 2 RBI's. [Marshal Wirtzfield] had 3 walks and a RBI and Ryan Bell went 1-4 with a RBI and he walked once. Chris Lardy started the pitching duties for the Rockies, he sent 5 innings, surrendered 8 hits, 6 runs, 2 walks and he had 1 strikeout. Jordan Neu threw 3 innings, giving up just one hit.
