COLD SPRING – Garrett Fuch’s one-out RBI single in the bottom of the ninth inning gave the Cold Spring Springers a 3-2 amateur baseball exhibition win over the Cold Spring Rockies on Saturday.

Right-hander Zach Femrite threw a five-hitter with 14 strikeouts and three walks to get the win. Tyler Geislinger was 3-for-4 with a double, Fuchs was 2-for-3, Alex Jungels had a solo homer in the second and Joey Dempsey was 1-for-4 with an RBI for the Springers (18-6).

Rick Burtzel was 3-for-4 with an RBI and Mike Holbrook was 1-for-3 for the Rockies.

John Rossman went the distance and took the loss.
