COLD SPRING – All three Cold Spring amateur baseball teams won their games during play at the second annual Day at the Park event held at the Cold Spring Baseball Park Saturday.

 

The Cold Spring Rockies took on New Munich and came out victorious 1-0 in 13 innings. The teams battled for 13 innings with Blaine Athmann throwing 10 innings, Chris Lardy 2 innings, and Jeff Lindbloom getting the win with 1 inning of relief.  In the bottom of the 13th, both teams started with a man on 2nd base, and no one out.  The Rockies held the Silver Streaks scoreless in the top half of the inninng.  In the bottom of the inning, Marshall Wirtzfeld laid down a sacrafice bunt that scored Mason Ruegemer (pinch running for Mike Ficker), after Ryan Bell hit a single to move him to 3rd base.
